Postdoctoral Researcher Position (2 years) at the Department of Sustainable Technologies

The Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences (https://www.ftz.czu.cz/en) at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (https://www.czu.cz/en) invites applications for a researcher position to contribute to high-impact research at the Department of Sustainable Technologies.

We seek a highly motivated researchers with a demonstrated record of academic excellence and a strong interest in addressing challenges facing tropical and subtropical regions. The position is open to candidates from diverse disciplines including Food Processing Technology, Food Security, Bioresource Technology, Sustainable Agriculture, Environmental Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct independent and collaborative research aligned with the Faculty’s strategic priorities

Publish in high-impact international peer-reviewed journals (at least 5 peer-reviewed articles published or accepted within 2 years in reputable international journals, Q1 or Q2 in relevant Web of Science fields).

Contribute to grant writing efforts (at least one GAČR-Czech Science Foundation research project proposal prepared)

Support mentoring of graduate students

Engage with development partners, NGOs, and stakeholders in tropical and subtropical regions

Participate actively in faculty seminars, conferences, and knowledge-sharing platforms

 

Essential Qualifications

PhD in a relevant field

Strong publication record in international peer-reviewed journals

Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in English

Proficiency in relevant research methodologies

Ability to work both independently and within interdisciplinary teams

We offer a possibility for two-year contract.

The gross (brutto) salary is CZK 60,000 (~EUR 2,500).
